Refund Policy

1. Nature of Services

Begonia Counselling & Support provides professional counselling services. By booking a session, you agree to the fees and cancellation terms outlined below.

Counselling is a time-based professional service. Once a session time is reserved for you, it is no longer available to other clients.

2. Payments

  • Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • Session fees are listed on the website and may be updated from time to time.

  • Fees are inclusive of GST where applicable.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.

  • Non-attendance (“no-show”) appointments will incur the full session fee.

  • This policy reflects the time reserved specifically for you.

4. Refunds

Because counselling is a scheduled professional service:

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Late cancellations

  • Non-attendance

If you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment, you may:

  • Reschedule your session, or

  • Request a refund of prepaid fees.

5. Australian Consumer Law

  • Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

  • If a service is not delivered with due care and skill, or is not provided as agreed, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with Australian law.

  • If you have concerns about your service, please contact Begonia Counselling & Support directly so the matter can be addressed promptly and respectfully.

6. Exceptional Circumstances

In cases of genuine emergency or exceptional circumstances, discretion may be applied regarding cancellation or non-attendance fees.

Supporting documentation (such as a medical certificate or statutory declaration) may be requested where appropriate.
